Franklin

Franklin, TN has been shaped by both a rich history and a booming economy. In May of 1995, Franklin was honored as one of the best downtown areas in the nation when it received one of five “Great American Main Street” awards by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Since then, accolades have included the “Best Small Town in Tennessee,” “America’s Most Romantic Main Street” and “One of America’s Greatest Antique Destinations,” among others. In May 2012, Franklin was ranked #4 on Livability.com‘s Best Places to Visit for Historic Preservation.

Conversely, the Cool Springs area of Franklin is a relatively new, upscale development. The area has expanded to encompass land on both sides of Interstate 65 and includes luxury hotels, strip malls, business parks, office buildings, big box retailers, low-rise apartments, condominiums, restaurants, and car dealerships. Cool Springs is also home to many major companies including Healthways and Nissan North America. Business Week Magazine named Franklin one of the Top 50 Cities to Start a Small Business.  

Franklin has eight annual festivals and parades including: The Main Street Festival in Spring; Fourth of July in Summer; PumpkinFest in October; The Veterans Day Parade in November; and Dickens of a Christmas in December. These events attract thousands of tourists per year.

Children in Franklin can attend the sought-after Williamson County district schools. Recognized nationally and ranked #1 in Tennessee, Williamson County schools are an excellent place for children to receive their education.
